What We’re Looking For
The Associate Placement Broker will be supporting our Client Service Centre Personal Lines team. The individual will work closely with our New Business team by providing quotes and preparing proposals that contributes to the team achieving monthly sales targets.
This role will reside out of our Burnaby Still Creek head office location, which is centrally located in the Willingdon Business Park near Brentwood Town Centre. This location is easily accessible by the Gilmore sky train station with many shops, restaurants and other amenities nearby.
Requirements
Level 1 General Insurance License required Minimum 6 months of experience, preferably 1-2 yrs in the Personal Insurance Division Strong desire to learn personal lines insuranceIntermediate MS Office knowledge, with focus on MS Outlook, Excel and WordStrong attention to detail and accuracyWorks well in a fast paced, client focused environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills, problem solving and critical thinking skillsExcellent time management and proven ability to effectively prioritize work flowA Day in the Life
Manage the TOS.Opportunities inbox.Track and ensure Personal Line’s Lead Quest inbox for the division is handled in a timely mannerCreate Clients Epic account and Opportunity/Activity for advisor to follow up.Assist with quoting new business in ARS and Carriers portal.Assist advisors with creating UW submissions.Formally corresponds with carrier underwriters to review quotes and get UW approval when required.Prepare proposals, CSIO application and binders as per agency standards.Assist with accounts receivable for new business issued by CSC new business advisors.Ensure all related quoting information, questionnaire, applications and activities have been entered on the client’s file in the Broker Management System (EPIC).Processes all documentation according to Hub workflows.Continues professional development to enhance skills and abilitiesOther projects, duties and responsibilities as assigned.Where This Can Take You

The expected salary range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
