JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox News is seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and creative Associate Producer for weekend primetime programming. As an Associate Producer, you will write and produce segments and prepare elements. You have stellar communication skills and the ability to deliver a quality product in a fast-paced 24-hour news environment.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Pitch unique news and feature stories for a weekly program, focusing on politics, economics, lifestyle, and culture

Select video, sound bites, and graphic elements that align with the show’s editorial vision

Write compelling and concise scripts for television

Conduct and concisely convey in-depth research on a wide range of topics

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

A Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

3+ years of experience in television production

Strong writing skills and excellent editorial judgment

Experience interacting with high-profile talent and guests

Passion for and knowledge of current events

Solid grasp of the politics and pop culture stories of the day

Ability to work independently and multitask in a high-pressure environment

Experience in a television news control room

Exceptional attention to detail

Familiarity with iNews

Understanding of tapeless workflow in a newsroom

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $61,000.00-70,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $50,800.00-58,300.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
