Associate Product Manager, PI Oncology (Hybrid)

BD Interventional (BDI) focus on leading innovation and life-enhancing devices in the field of surgical, endovascular, urological and critical care interventions aiming at advancing the treatment of high burden diseases and enabling surgical and interventional procedures.

Peripheral Intervention Our Peripheral Intervention (PI) business unit offers a comprehensive range of medical products, devices and services for the treatment of peripheral arterial and venous disease, cancer detection, and end-stage renal disease and maintenance.

The Associate Product Manager will be responsible for working on the assigned product line(s) within Peripheral Intervention’s Oncology business.  Develop the strategic and tactical global initiatives for a key product and/or market segment on a global basis. Prepare three-year strategic plans for a product and/or market segment and annual Marketing tactical plans projecting the direction and growth of the market, sales revenues, product lines, expenses, and profit and loss. Demonstrates leadership within the Marketing department, takes an active role in day-to-day operations, and plays a lead role in the product development activity for product and/or market segment responsibility serving as the product and business expert for a portfolio.

Key Job Responsibilities:

The Associate Product Manager will be a key driver to the success of the BD Oncology product lines within the Peripheral Intervention business unit.

Create execution strategy for Oncology, marketing plan development, new product development and pipeline strategies. Includes core customer requirements, financial plans, market development activities, claims and data, launch plans, lifecycle management, and marketing tactics.

Work with R&D to develop a strong portfolio of new product development projects that support the strategic direction of our business and grow the portfolio while optimizing the product value.

Take a leadership role on new product development teams.

Become the expert in the organization on competition and strategies within the Oncology field.

Develop and implement comprehensive product marketing plans including strategic and technical components to meet revenue targets.

Generate short and long-term market forecasts and reports by directing market research collection, analysis, trends, and interpretation of market data.

Recommend product line modifications, extensions, new products and product deletions.

Utilize data analytics to formulate and adapt key commercial strategies

Forecast market size and sales volume for product lines.

Communicate with domestic sales force and global marketing entities (directly and through international marketing).

Demonstrate strong social skills related to establishing and maintaining relationships with customers and key influencers to ensure that marketing decisions are customer focused.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required, Marketing/Business or Technical Field; MBA preferred.

3 years marketing or equivalent experience in healthcare or comparable regulated field preferred.

Experience getting things done in highly matrixed environments, able to work with cross-functional teams and to lead teams beyond your direct span of control.

Strong organizational, leadership, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. Candidate must be able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Outstanding written and verbal presentation skills.

Personal characteristics: Initiative-taking, data-driven, collaborative, curious, detail-oriented, critical thinker, enthusiastic, customer-focused.
