Associate Product Operations Manager/ Data Editor

We are looking for an Associate Product Operations Manager – Data Editor to join our Global Institutional Profiles Project within the Science Content Management team in Serbia. The Data Editor team consists of three members reporting to the Product Operations Manager. In addition to the core data editing responsibilities, you will support the Organization Unification Team by curating data to accurately attribute research publications, bibliometric data, and institutional addresses to global organizations. Our team has strong expertise in Data Quality Management, and we would love to speak with you if you have experience in Data Quality Control and Analysis.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

2+ years of experience working in academic, government, library/information science industry or equivalent.Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in science or library/information studies or equivalent experience.Proficient level of English language (B2/C1).

It would be great if you also had . . .

Familiarity with French/Spanish/German/ Slavic languages or other in the EMEA region.Prior experience in publishing or the information industry.Strong attention to detail, data analysis skills, and a high level of technical savvy.Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and take ownership of assigned project components.Ability to communicate effectively across different levels, proactively identify and resolve issues, and maintain professional correspondence.Ability to comfortable manage a large amount of data and conduct data QC using a variety of data tools, including Excel data and statistical functions; must be able to quickly learn the use of internal database tools for data management.

What will you be doing in this role?

Create, manage, and maintain university statistical data collection accounts for 500 participating universitiesCommunicate regularly with participating universities to announce initiatives, kick-off the annual data collection period, obtain accurate university data, validate university data submissions, and support use of the data collection portalUsing MS Excel and a dedicated data collection portal, perform regular data management, quality control and curation tasks for 500 participating universitiesAttend regular Profiles Project team meetings and assist team with Project planning activitiesSupport the production of the US News Best Global University Rankings through data quality control and curationProduct you will be developing

About the Team

The Profiles Project team is composed of 3 data editors, each responsible for a specific global region: the Americas, Asia-Oceania, and Europe-Middle East-Africa (EMEA), with the current open position covering the EMEA region. The project includes approximately 800 participating universities and is supported by Clarivate’s statisticians and database administrators. Data collection occurs annually from October to November, and the team also contributes to the U.S. News Best Global University Rankings through 2 months of data analysis and curation. As part of this role, you will also be integrated into the broader Web of Science Content Team, which spans across the UK, USA, Spain, Serbia, India, and New Zealand.

Hours of Work

Full-time position, 40 working hours per week, generally aligned with Central European Time (CET). While the EMEA data editor may follow a schedule convenient to their local time zone, occasional flexibility outside standard hours may be required to support collaboration across global time zones. This is a hybrid role, with in-office presence expected 3 days every other week.
