Summary of Job Duties:The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a dedicated Gynecologic Oncologist (Gyn Onc) Faculty Member to join our dynamic team. This position is focused on delivering exceptional cancer care and advancing cancer research within the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of three other Gyn Onc faculty members and three advanced practice nurses, providing comprehensive, multidisciplinary care to gynecologic cancer patients.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Gyn Onc faculty member will actively contribute to the education and mentorship of medical students and 20 OBGYN residents, fostering academic excellence and professional growth. Participation in clinical and translational research is strongly encouraged and supported.

We are seeking a candidate committed to high-quality, patient-centered care, with a dedication to addressing health disparities in Arkansas. This position offers competitive compensation, protected academic time, and a favorable work-life balance, including manageable call schedules.
Qualifications:MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.Completion of a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology.

​Licensure & Certification:

Eligible for or possession of a valid Arkansas medical license (MD or DO) upon hire.Valid DEA certification upon hire.Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology).Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gynecologic Oncology (American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology).


Additional Information:

Responsibilities:Provide direct clinical care to gynecologic oncology patients.Actively participate in cancer research and clinical trials.Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.Supervise, teach, and mentor OBGYN residents and medical students.Contribute to the academic mission of UAMS through research, publications, and scholarly activities.Engage in efforts to improve healthcare access and reduce health disparities across the state.
