The Department of Neurosurgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of brain tumor surgery and brain tumor research in immune and cellular therapies. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicant must be board certified.
Teaching responsibilities may include the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include the neurosurgical management of brain and skull base tumors and oversight of the multi-disciplinary care of brain and skull base tumor patients, including clinical trials.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include translational and/or basic research in brain tumors, with funding from the National Institutes of Health and other federal funding agencies as PI.
