Nature and Scope
The Associate Program Manager is responsible for managing various aspects of manufacturer programs as assigned, based on product lifecycle, complexity of services, client requirements, product performance in market, etc. The position requires a keen ability to prepare and conduct presentations to various customers and client groups, including manufacturer marketing teams, sales representatives, healthcare professionals, etc. The incumbent must have a strong understanding of operational flows, market information, and program performance in order to promote program services and resolve customer service issues. The successful candidate will be involved in development and implementation of new programs and program enhancements, as needed.
Principal Accountabilities
Manage assigned specialty drug programs and function as a client account manager to ensure client satisfaction while simultaneously meeting SHN financial and strategic objectivesSupport the day-to-day program needs through collaboration with Senior Program Manager and other departments as necessaryPrepare for and attend regular client meetings in order to provide relevant and timely program information and updatesWork with various internal departments to manage and facilitate program implementations and enhancementsAssist in the budgeting process by collecting sales and planning information from clients, the market, and other relevant sources to complete basic sales projections and trend analysisConduct/coordinate analysis of programs or specific project performance measures for presentations to clients and internal staffManage and coordinate special projects as assigned by the Director, Specialty Programs and Senior Program ManagerSupport Senior Program Manager by collecting vital program performance information, relaying information/changes to affected internal departments, and proactively identifying program efficiency opportunitiesOrganize and conduct training presentations and other meetings involving internal departments, clients, healthcare professionals, patients, or other external partiesRespond to requests and action items in a timely and efficient mannerMaintain knowledge of all company policies and procedures with high emphasis placed on ethical conduct and strict confidentiality of client information ethical conduct and strict confidentiality of client informationQualifications and Skills
A University degree or equivalent industry-related experience - business, healthcare professional designation and/or post-graduate degree an asset2-3 years account coordination experience, preferably in a healthcare field, and/or previous pharmaceutical brand management experience or equivalentPrevious reimbursement, customer service, or clinical experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skills requiredPresentation preparation and delivery skills requiredHigh level of proficiency using MS Office tools is requiredProven ability to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environmentExcellent time management, organizational, and a keen attention to detail are requiredMust work well under pressure, with changing deadlines from external forces, changing priorities, and projects with multiple individuals within the organizationKnowledge of provincial drug reimbursement programs and third party drug coverage issues and bilingualism are assetsShoppers Drug Mart Inc. recognizes Canada's diversity as a source of national pride and strength.
