Job DescriptionThe Desktop Developer Platform Analyst will partner with a cross-functional team to enable success for multiple desktop developer platforms, ensuring best practice platform governance and enabling developer productivity through timely version updates and streamlined processes.
Responsibilities:
New Platform and Version Onboarding: Ensure successful onboarding of new platforms and new versions to existing platforms through all required security and enablement stepsVersion Upgrade Planning and Management: Monitor platform upgrades and ensure n-1 availability in cooperation with security and packaging teams.License Management: Where applicable, ensure distribution and management of platform licenses and related access control, reclaiming from low use/departed users as needed, forecasting year over year demand, and ensuring access at the correct level.Security, Compliance and Audit: Act as the lead for all security, compliance, and audit activities for the platform, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all assessments and attestations and assisting with security remediation.Platform Control and Management: Manage allow/disallow list process and governance for platform componentsDeveloper Support: Provide internal L2 support for Developer Platforms when needed.This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Associate: 2 or more years of work experience
•Hands-on experience or related coursework in software development with a strong understanding of developer needs and preferences
•Foundation in software development methodologies and a wide range of developer products and tools with a demonstrated ability to upskill on new technologies/ frameworks/ tools
•Passion for solving problems and enabling team success
•Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
•Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, or a related field
•Ability to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
•Proactive and resourceful, with the ability to identify developer needs and find creative solutions.
