AES Clean Energy is currently seeking an Associate Project Manager to support our Project Managers with solar and/or battery storage development and construction projects across the US. The position will report to the Director of Project Management.Key Responsibilities:Support AES Clean Energy’s Project Managers with project documentation, reporting, scheduling, cost forecasting, and contract management.Work with the project teams to implement project execution and document control processes.Define and document RFPs and scope of work packages for 3rd party EPC firms.Take a lead role in financial closings for both project construction and permanent financing.  Support the project finance team in all efforts to achieve closings in a timely manner.Create project reports and track construction team KPI’s.Support Project Managers with purchase requisitions, change orders, contract amendments, etc.Track lien waivers of contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely payment of EPC partners.Support creation of document packages for construction contractor request for proposals (RFP’s)Administer the final assembly of construction contract documents and execution of contract signature pages.Support Project Managers with EPC contractor document deliverables for contract milestone payment invoicing review.Manage internal form and document submissions for creating new construction vendors.
 

Key Requirements:

3-5 years related experience.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction or related field.Experience supporting Project Managers with project execution and documentation.Experience supporting PV solar project tax equity and debt funding transactions required.Proficient with MS Office suite (especially Excel), Quickbase, Box, Trello, and MS TeamsAbility to build effective relationships and work supportively and collaboratively with other teams.Strong computer and analytical skillsAbility to lead assigned tasks to closure while maintaining high level of professionalism.Excellent organizational, project, planning & time management skills.Demonstrates alignment with AES Values. Experience in solar and/or battery storage construction, electric industry, or power plants preferred.PMI CAPM certification preferred, not required.Willingness and ability to travel to various project locations up to 30%.Spanish language skills a plus.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $86.500 and $103.700/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
