Assistant Project Manager – TRC Intelligent Grid Solutions TRC is a global consulting firm providing environmentally advanced and technology-powered solutions for the oil and gas, power, and infrastructure industry. We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Intelligent Grid Solutions team. The Intelligent Grid Solutions team helps our clients: Deploy a range of operational technologies (OT) and information technologies (IT) Assess and integrate emerging digital operational technologies Leverage their information assets to manage their business uncover new insights Determine opportunities for process improvement and change management Enable enhanced situational awareness for utility transmission and distribution operators Fully leverage their technology investments Identify and prioritize security and data protection risks This position will be an essential part of our team delivering essential utility technologies. Sample projects could include software deployment and upgrades, IT/OT integration and execution, testing/quality control delivery, smart grid technology deployment, and project management office (PMO) operations. Job Description: The Assistant Project Manager supports the delivery of technology projects to our clients. Specifically, they will bring a high-energy attitude with excellent project management and communication skills. Additionally, they will work with our technical specialists and various client stakeholders to deliver technology projects with the highest confidence; on time and on budget. The Assistant Project Manager is a growth oriented role with the intent of the developing and growing the capacity for the Assistant Project Manager to become a skillful and experienced Project Manager responsible for complex utility technology projects. Responsibilities Client facing role - ability to work with clients, vendors, partners and various stakeholders within different organizations Ability to travel onsite, when requested, to assist the TRC project managers with logistics, facilitation and communications. Gather input from the project manager, project team, vendors, and client stakeholders to develop project schedules and resource plans and keep them up to date utilizing project tools (including MS Project, Jira, MS Excel). Coordinate project status reporting, collecting weekly project updates from team members including updates to schedule and budget. Maintain project control logs, which including adding and updating actions, issues, risks, assumptions, decisions, and change to ensure they are up to date and include accurate information. Collect data and reporting and tracking project performance. Maintain project budget and forecasts at the direction of the TRC project manager. Follow up on action items and issues and facilitate driving them to closure. Assist the TRC project manager to follow up on past due or at-risk tasks. Work with team members to make sure the contingency plans are tracked appropriately. Manage deliverable tracking and document management. Coordinate change orders and perform analysis on schedule, scope, budget impact. Coordinate project meetings, including developing agendas, meeting minutes, and preparing action items. Assist with meeting minutes. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
