**Position Specific Description**
The Associate Project Manager will support projects that enable growth opportunities for NextEra’s current and future business ventures. As a member of the NextEra Energy Resources Development, Strategy and Product Solutions team the Associate Project Manager will work directly with internal and external stakeholders to identify, develop, and communicate new business opportunities to executive management. This will include open-ended technical and financial diligence to determine product or project feasibility. The ideal candidate will have experience solving open-ended problems, a strong technical and financial acumen, and prior experience using statistical software to obtain, aggregate and communicate insights.
This is an entry level role. Employees in this role will join the NextEra Energy Resources Development, Strategy and Product Solutions team. Strategy and Product Solutions focuses on developing strategic relationships with early-stage companies to support new business venture and strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and financial acumen to engage with and evaluate new technologies that align with NextEra’s strategy.
**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Manages all aspects of the day-to-day diligence process to evaluate new technologies and ideas
+ Leads and coordinates key functions such as financial feasibility analyses, engineering/design and project legal review
+ Responsible for managing multiple, complex projects
+ Apply chemical engineering fundamentals to understand the production of different clean fuels and coordinate with internal teams to design renewable solutions that meet regulatory requirements.
+ Coordinates due diligence activities with other internal groups to ensure proper analysis and structuring of assigned projects
+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ B.S.- Chemical Engineering
+ Basic knowledge of python or equivalent programming language
+ Demonstrated ability to solve open-ended problems through prior research experience
+ Understanding of key chemical processes such as Haber-Bosch and Fischer-Tropsch
+ Strong communication and presentation skills
