The Opportunity!The Associate Project Manager will report directly to the Parking Services Program Manager and shall be responsible for multiple mobility management initiatives with parking and curb management, Transportation Demand Management (TDM), and new emerging mobility technology.
The Parking Services Associate Project Manager will plan, organize and supervise the daily activities and operations of Parking Services Curb Management Program and staff. Position will directly supervise curb management staff, including engineering, planning, project coordination, and data management and ensure compliance with City policies, regulations, local transportation ordinances, and state law governing all aspects of mobility demand management.
The following knowledge and skills are ideal: Knowledge of emerging mobility trends, technologies, and applications. Knowledge of and operating complex computer applications or technology. Supervisory skills to handle and resolve employee issues up to and including employee counseling and terminations.

Assists or leads, as necessary, in the management of the selection process and administers consultant services, including negotiating contract terms and fees, approving the consultant’s product, approving payment to consultant, initiating poor performance remedies, etc. Conducts project kickoff meetings, communicates roles and project expectations, and ensures project team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively. Provides work direction and leadership to assigned projects including scheduling, assignment of work, and review of project efforts. Monitors project milestones and critical dates to identify potential risk to project schedule; identifies ways to resolve schedule issues; keeps management current on any changes. Manages, monitors, and reviews contracts and contractors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, including administering change orders and estimates.
