Work Location: Windsor, CT. (Base) / East Hartford, CT Customer Site (Daily work location)
Work Experience: Minimum 5+ years relevant to role and 2-year tech degree / 10+ years relevant to role with no / non-tech degree.  Candidates with substantially more prior experience and responsibilities, may fit under a related progression roles - and are welcome to apply.
Industry: Aero-Engine (i.e.  gas turbine / turbomachinery)

Roles & Responsibilities:

Primarily gather, compile, process, and portray Quality Engineering (technical) data that helps ensure part/process quality are achieved and sustained.  Efforts support/conveyed to others.Initial planned work: Variety of quality/project support level activities aimed at team charged with ensuring those conducting acoustical test services (sonic inspection) for our customer are doing so as needed and at capacity required.  Follow-on work to be within scope of this JD.    Comfortable interacting w/ multiple computer systems / software  Have an aptitude for process-oriented work along with a mindset for doing things right, a desire to see things through, an eye for continuous improvement.  A history of doing so successfully in a customer facing, service-oriented, environmentCollaboratively engage daily with your Project / Team leader, PeersMaintain Integrity & Ethics in all situationsGenerate Continuous Improvement ideas to reduce Waste and Cost of Poor QualityHelp Quest Global grow while you learn and develop your career
Required Skills (Technical Competency) / Attributes:Relevant experience in:  Quality Management System, Part Qualification, Non-Conformance Management, and/or Continuous Improvement (Development).Read Engineering prints and comprehend associated Quality Requirements (Inc GD&T callouts)Gaging experience (manual, visual, computer based, Inspection Planning, Set-up, SPC, Gage R&R)Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook – intermediate/adv user (macros, pivot tables, VB coding - noteworthy)Entering, probing, and extracting technical data within a MRP / ERP system (SAP preferred)Self-motivated, disciplined, and organized - with ability to focus on semi-repetitive tasksDesired Skills / Attributes:Familiarity with gas turbine engine workings, design, manufacturing, MROOperating in procedure based and regulatory controlled environmentsPhysical Requirements & Work Environment:Office and/or Shop Floor EnvironmentsLift / Transport 25 lb (occasional)Common activities include sitting, walking, and standingTypically includes substantial amounts of computer work – but can also include hands-on activities (e.g. lifting, inspecting, transporting, etc)Heavily Regulated Industry with strict adherence to procedures and standard workFlexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late, arriving early, OTAbility to use personal transportation (work, customer, other)Full time role w/ company benefits.Typical 8-hour workdays M-F w/ unpaid lunch / accommodating shift schedule - but sensitive to customer needs.Due to customer’s work classification and security, candidate’s citizenship status must be: “U.S. Citizen”The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
