Associate Quality Technician - 3rd Shift

Position Summary:

We are currently looking for a Associate Quality Technician to join our team on the 3rd shift. As an Associate Quality Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that we manufacture safe and compliant products for our patients. The Quality Technician will support manufacturing by inspecting and testing products and overseeing operations to ensure they comply with specifications and standards for medical devices.

Essential Functions:

Utilizes measurement equipment such as Micrometers, Calipers, Pin Gages, Thread Gages, Comparators, Vision Systems, and Functional Gages to inspect products

Uses organizational knowledge of inspection and calibration procedures to assist the manufacturing floor and train others

Performs in-process and final product and process audits

Escalates to Senior Quality Technician when nonconformity is identified

Identifies and disposes of nonconformities in accordance with company Standard Operating Procedures

Collect data in accordance with Good Documentation Practices

Identify daily priorities by utilizing a lean visual management system (Kan Ban, Heijunka, and FIFO) lanes

Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication

Utilize Lean Manufacturing Visual Management Systems (Andon, Hour by Hour) to effectively communicate problems

Actively work together as a team to solve problems

Perform duties in compliance with applicable FDA and state regulations as well as standards including, but not limited to, CRF-820 and ISO 13485

Other duties, as assigned

Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies

Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

Represents the company in a professional manner and upholds the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

Two to Six years of experience in a Manufacturing environment

Strong computer skills required, and you must be comfortable with Excel, Power Point, and Word

Experience of performing inspection and testing methods

Basic understanding of Blueprint reading and GD&T ASME Y14.5

Basic understanding of GDP

Fundamental understanding of machining, polishing, blasting, anodizing, cleaning, 3D printing and assembly processes

Basic Understanding of Measurement System principles, such as Bias, Linearity, Stability, NIST, Test Accuracy ratio, Attribute Agreement Analyses, Repeatability and Reproducibility

ASQ CQT certification

Background in Medical device Quality Systems, 21-CFR820, ISO 13485, IEC 60601-1, IEC 62304, MDSAP)

Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Required to possess specific visons abilities, including: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus
