Job Summary
The Associate Registrar for Data Analysis and Reporting is responsible for overseeing data reporting and analysis within the Registrar’s Office. This role serves as the primary liaison for the Student Information System and DegreeWorks, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to various stakeholders, including the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) and the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS). The Associate Registrar will manage critical functions such as immunization tracking and attendance monitoring, utilizing a blend of strategic coordination, administrative support, and data analysis to enhance the overall effectiveness of the Registrar’s operations.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
Data Management and Reporting
+ Serve as the primary liaison for all aspects of enrollment reporting to NSC and NSLDS, developing and maintaining a transmission schedule for student data
+ Create and analyze complex reports to optimize enrollment and academic planning processes
+ Conduct data analysis to assess the effectiveness of reporting and processes, ensuring compliance with institutional policies
Immunization and Attendance Oversight
+ Maintain university policies and timelines regarding immunizations and attendance, preparing and distributing Argos reports to relevant workgroups
+ Collaborate with the marketing team to review and edit communications related to immunization and attendance requirements
DegreeWorks Support
+ Train end users on DegreeWorks, including the exceptions management tool, and update the FAQ page for user guidance
+ Support degree audit analyses to ensure compliance with academic requirements and university guidelines
Communications Automation and Coordination
+ Develop and manage communications for the Registrar’s Office using Business Communication Management (BCM), focusing on immunizations and attendance
+ Assist the Associate Registrar in overseeing communication processes in their absence
Technology Implementation and Improvement
+ Lead student information systems implementation and assist in establishing technology priorities to enhance Registrar’s Office operations
+ Recommend sustainable changes to improve student services and data flow efficiency
Training and Staff Development
+ Develop training models for staff and students in accordance with the academic calendar
+ Provide training for front-line staff on university operations, policies, and procedures
Operational Coordination
+ Oversee Start and End of Term processes by generating relevant reports
+ Assist with commencement activities, including setup and staffing
General Administrative Responsibilities
+ Maintain organized records related to data analysis and reporting
+ Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to facilitate project goals and enhance operational efficiency
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
+ Minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible operations experience utilizing computing hardware, software, and design in technical or professional analysis and resulting program implementation
+ Demonstrated ability to use a variety of software systems, including but not limited to: site design, working knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced experience with Excel; WEB site design; working knowledge of a BI tool; and firsthand experience in performing multi-faceted and complex data queries
+ Ability to adapt quickly to changing technology
+ Assist in the development of automation of current processes in the Registrar's Office
+ Committed to working with diverse student and campus populations and to "student-centered" services
+ Ability to effectively communicate with various constituencies: students, faculty, and administrators
+ Ability to work independently on multiple tasks with high accuracy prioritize tasks, handle confidential information, and meet deadlines
+ Strong problem-solving, training, and leadership/supervisory skills
Education Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree required with 5 years of relevant experience in academic administration with a focus on data management and analysis
+ Master’s degree preferred

The Mercy University Retirement Plan is comprised of two components:
Deferred Compensation Plan
All eligible employees may contribute to the Deferred Compensation Plan on a pre-tax basis upon joining the University.
Defined Contribution Plan
Eligible employees are enrolled in the Defined Contribution Plan after two (2) years of full-time employment at Mercy University and receive a semi-monthly contribution from the College, based on age and salary. If an employee is under age 36, they will receive a contribution of 3.3% of their annual salary each pay period. If an employee is age 36 or older, they will receive a contribution of 9% of their annual salary each pay period.
If employed full-time for two (2) or more consecutive years by another institution(s) of higher education (college or university), without an intervening break in service within the last twelve (12) months prior to employment before joining Mercy, please submit a waiting period waiver form to Office of Human Resources. The Defined Contribution will begin as of the first day of the month following receipt of the completed waiver form.
