This position oversees patient flow from point of entry to destination and ensures timely, accurate and professional services. This position is responsible for timely and accurate resolution of patient’s accounts. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to obtaining specific information to generate accurate financial and demographic records, insurance verification, prior authorization, and coordination of benefits. Communicates with payers and patients to achieve accurate financial information. Responsible for accurate Registration of patients, Scheduling recurring appointments, answers incoming calls and directs patient and visitors appropriately. Participates in operational aspects of the department and maintains performance improvement activities as required. Participates in all infection control, department equipment training, regulatory compliance, organizational safety and fire safety programs. Orders, distributes and maintains designated and appropriate inventory of department related supplies. This position is assigned higher complexity tasks than those expected from Associate-Rehabilitation Clinical Support and incumbents are held to higher productivity and quality standards.
High School Diploma/GED is required. Two years experience in Rehabilitation Services or similar job duties (patient registration, insurance, scheduling) required. Requires the ability to work within a team and maintain collaborative relationships Requires basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, TEAMS) Requires high level of interpersonal and problem solving skills Requires the ability to take initiative and meet objectives Requires effective written and verbal communication skills Requires an excellent working knowledge of the Associate of Clinical Support Job Duties
