Citizens’ equity research department covers 400+ public companies and provides institutional clients with comprehensive industry knowledge, unique insight and actionable information. Our senior research analysts are charged with developing proprietary investment themes, anticipating secular and cyclical changes and producing action-oriented reports. Citizens’ equity research department follows companies in seven broad growth industries: Technology, Healthcare, Financial Services, Consumer, Industrial, Digital Infrastructure and Real Estate—and produces specialized equity research that enables institutional investors to understand and invest in complicated growth stocks profitably.
We are currently seeking an equity research associate to join our Internet & Digital Media Technologies Research Team. The position may be based in Chicago, Boston, New York City, or San Francisco. The Research Associate will be involved in all facets of research activities and will play an integral role supporting the coverage of multiple publicly traded Internet & Digital Media Technologies companies, presenting to the Citizens institutional equity salesforce, and interacting with company executives, public investors, venture capital firms and private equity firms.
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, exceptional analytical skills, familiarity with financial modeling concepts, and a keen desire to learn about the Technology Sector and investing. The candidate would also have the ability to multitask, outstanding time management skills and a passion for conducting and communicating proprietary and thought-provoking research
The specific responsibilities of the associate include, but are not limited to, writing research reports, financial analysis and modeling, conducting industry and company-specific research, coordinating the various processes involved in generating actionable, proprietary Internet & Digital Media Technologies research.
As part of their responsibilities, the associate will be expected to study for and pass the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam as well as the Series 86 and Series 87 exams.

Exceptional academic background with at least a BA/BS in Business, Finance, Economics, or Computer Science1-3 years of professional work experience in Finance or working for a technology companyOutstanding analytical skillsStrong desire to learnStrong writing and communication skillsFamiliarity with financial and accounting conceptsStrong work ethic, attention to detailSelf-motivated with ability to work in a high pressure, team-oriented and time sensitive environmentProficient in Excel, Word and PowerPointSeries 7, 63, 86 and 87 licenses preferredHours & Work Schedule

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000 plus an opportunity to earn additional incentive earnings. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
