Job Summary

IFF is looking for mid-level science professional that independently plans and executes process lab and pilot plant activities concerned with the R&D development and production of new and improved products, as well as someone who performs experimental objectives, design, and interpretation of results for product development in collaboration with R&D Team.

Responsibilities:

CREATION 80 %

Works in collaboration with others and independently to advance projects.Conducts experiments independently.Troubleshoots problems when they occur.Analyzes data from a variety of laboratory techniques and instruments.Documents experiments, makes technical presentations, and contributes to progress/technical reports.Plans and prioritizes experiments within a defined workstream.

INNOVATION/NEW TECHNOLOGY 10 %

Maintains familiarity with current scientific literature in related discipline to stay current in new techniques that can be used internally to support project needs and knowledge-building within the functional group.Develops improved lab processes by customizing equipment and optimizing methods.

CUSTOMER INTIMACY AND TECHNICAL PARTNERSHIP 5%

Participates in Department meetings and other functional activities.Communicates technical ideas and concepts as well as research results with project and functional teams regularly.Interacts and networks outside functional team and beyond the project team.Develops understanding of how the broader R&D team is organized and works together.Interacts as part of a team with internal and/or external customers to support the relationship

LEADERSHIP 5%

Takes on laboratory safety tasks or role to solve potential safety and environmental problems within their immediate work area or group.Leads laboratory activities, technician and technologist teams

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Educational requirement: MS degree or equivalent experience requiredSufficient time in previous grade to demonstrate mastery of responsibilities and deliver significant contributions.
