We are seeking an Assistant Scientist to join our Technical Services team. In this hands-on lab role, you’ll help develop new enzyme-based applications for food products, support customer projects, and play a key role in bringing innovative solutions to market._** **_If you are a recent science graduate with hands-on laboratory experience we encourage you to apply!_** **Pay:** 55K-60K DOE **Location:** Elgin, IL **Schedule:** M-F normal business hours **Responsibilities** + Conduct lab experiments to support new product development and improve customer formulations + Assist in creating at least two new food applications each year + Provide scientific data for use in webinars, technical documents, and marketing materials + Help design and test new products from concept through commercialization + Support customer needs by responding to technical requests and participating in pilot trials + Collaborate with research institutions and university labs + Maintain lab equipment, organize workspace, and ensure safety and compliance + Document findings in lab notebooks and present results clearly + Submit timely customer visit reports and monthly activity summaries **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in food science, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life science field + Experience with lab equipment like HPLC, GC, or spectrophotometers is a plus! + Strong hands-on laboratory experience + Highly organized with strong time management abilities **_***This job description is a complete list of all desired skills but not all are required.
