The Associate Scientist role will support the Coffee Product Development team to deliver products across our Private Label brands. This is a dynamic position where the individual will lead the development and commercialization of new products across a variety of beverage categories to delight our consumers and customers.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

Work in a laboratory setting and lead the development of hot and iced beverages across a variety of categories – coffee, flavored coffee, tea, cocoa, and lattes. Conduct bench-top experiments, develop prototypes for team tastings and sensory testing, and support commercialization and full scale up of products.Participate in group product tastings and provide sensory feedback.Maintain accurate and detailed record of laboratory work.Use formulation software to document lab work and formulas.Verify formula accuracy and complete formula documentation.Actively participate in project team meetings as required and ensures delivery of commitments and project milestones.Work effectively with various functions of R&D (Sensory, Ingredients, Nutrition, Regulatory, Flavor Technology, Chemistry, Process Engineering, and Technical Services)Effectively collaborate with cross-functional team members (Project Managers, Finance, Sales) with manager supervision.Work appropriately and safely in a laboratory environment.Positively influence and engage in a creative, performance driven culture.
