The Associate Scientist I, Formulation Development is responsible for execution of laboratory experiments to prepare nanoparticle formulations and assist in lab management. This position reports to the Senior Scientist, Formulation Development and is part of the Biopharma Services team located in Vancouver, BC Canada and will be an onsite role. What you'll do: + Manufacture nanoparticle formulations using NanoAssemblr platforms and perform analysis using Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), RiboGreen assay, ELISA, Western Blot or other related routine lab assays. + Independently do all the calculations and buffer/reagent preparation needed for formulation and analysis activities. + Work and make progress on different projects in parallel and sort the associated activities by priority. + Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reports and technical presentations. + Actively participate in general lab management, health and safety initiatives, and use of the Danaher Business System tools and platforms. Who you are: + Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant discipline with at least 2+ years of laboratory experience. + Experience in the preparation of nanoparticle formulations and aseptic handling of sterile materials such as tissue cultures, buffer solutions, etc. in biosafety cabinets. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Comfortable with change and strong solution oriented attitude Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role + Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 30lb The salary range for this role is $70,000-80,000 CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
