Job DescriptionThe GTS Department is dedicated to supporting ELISA/HB planting, harvesting, extraction, and testing; DNA QA grinding, plating, and testing; MBGT planting, plating and testing; Electrophoresis planting, plating, extraction and testing.
The GTS Department includes genetic purity testing using Isozyme Electrophoresis, trait purity testing using ELISA/Herbicide Bioassay testing, and adventitious presence and zygosity testing using in DNA QA using PCR.
MBGT (SNP) testing includes genetic purity, genotyping and variety verification. SNP testing is part of the Genomics Department.
The Sample Prep Associate Scientist is responsible for helping in all activities, as directed, for the GTS and MBGT (SNP) work streams.
