As a SAM Consultant, you will have an instrumental role in supporting our customers in efficiently implementing and managing their software assets, ensuring compliance and boosting efficiency. Core Accountabilities: Support the successful onboarding of new small customer engagements in Software Lifecycle Management (SLM) Facilitate the transfer of established SLM customer engagements between consultants Complete tasks as outlined in customer project plans Ensure solutions are delivered in accordance with SoftwareOne’s service and project methodologies Develop effective communication with all collaborators, customers, partners, and team members. Engage in direct customer contact as needed Work on customer site when required Participate in customer and SoftwareOne business review meetings to provide guidance and insights Consistently demonstrate SoftwareOne’s core values both externally and internally Job-Specific Accountabilities: Focus on either 1) Delivery Management of SAM or 2) Procurement 1. SAM: Perform inventory and entitlement data analysis and collection Import inventory and entitlement data into SAM tools Reconcile and analyze inventory and entitlement data for accurate compliance reporting and presentation for peer review Configure licenses within SAM tools Provide recommendations to customers to improve their compliance position or achieve savings (e.g., license re-harvesting opportunities) Support SLM diagnostic workshops, transcribing interviews, crafting first draft reports, and presenting them for peer review Deploy tools to support customer engagements (technical) 2. Procurement: Complete software license purchase transactions for specified products/publishers Initiate and complete small software license contract renewals for tier 3 publishers Address licensing questions, bringing to bear SoftwareOne’s internal expertise and network Support strategic software license sourcing specialists for low-value software license spend as required Collect and maintain internal SWO and client data, such as customized item catalogs What we need to see from you Existing full-time work rights in Japan Full professional proficiency in Japanese and working proficiency in English Ideal if 3+ years' relevant experience but open to consider aspiring talent (with 2~3 yrs' work experience in IT industry) who is committed to develop their SAM Consultant career from the Associate level. Core Skills: Basic project management experience Basic consulting skills Proficient business writing skills for customer communications/presentations Basic IT technical experience Understanding of SWO service business Proficiency in MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Strong analytical skills Highly motivated and focused Professional communication skills Effective multitasking and time management skills Dedicated and reliable with a professional work ethic that promotes both internal and external accountability. Proven problem-solving and professional consultative skills Good presentation skills Additional languages will be an advantage Job-Specific Skills: Asset Management: Working experience in software asset management and software license procurement Basic understanding of SAM and SAM tool functionality Relevant accreditations such as Microsoft Get Licensing Ready, SAM Solution Specialist Lite, Licensing Solutions Specialist LORG, Microsoft Certified Professional, and SAM tool publisher certifications (e.g., Flexera, SNOW, ServiceNow) Technical Skills: Asset Management: Basic knowledge of licensing programs and licensing Basic understanding of SAM tool functionality and utilization Procurement: Basic knowledge of software purchasing processes Understanding of IT software categories, license metrics, maintenance, support models, and supply markets Knowledge of copyright for software licensing Job Function Software & Cloud Services Accommodations SoftwareOne welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and abilities to apply.
