Job Title: Azure Data Engineer

Experience Range: 4-6 Years

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the data architecture on Microsoft Azure, including data ingestion, storage, and processing. The candidate should have a strong background in data engineering and a deep understanding of Azure data services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes on Azure using services such as Azure Data Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.

- Implement data security and compliance measures in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

- Collaborate with Developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide reliable and efficient data solutions.

- Optimize and tune data processing and storage systems for performance and cost-efficiency.

- Develop and maintain documentation for data architecture, processes, and standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience as a data engineer, with a focus on Azure data services.

- In-depth knowledge of Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Cosmos DB.

- Strong programming skills in languages such as SQL, Python.

- Experience with data modelling, data warehousing, and dimensional modelling concepts.

- Familiarity with data governance, data security.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with reporting tool like Power BI.

- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Apache Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
