What You're Applying For: Edmunds is looking for a software engineer to join the Ad Solutions team. This team is responsible for growing and transforming digital automotive advertising. We drive online engagement with our dealer partners' digital advertising, execute advertising infrastructure initiatives, and provide technical expertise in integrating with the ever-evolving Ad Tech space. What You'll Do: * Work with other software engineers and product managers to build and improve advertising technology solutions. * Write high-performance software using Java and Python. * Develop and maintain APIs, big data processes, and internal tools to support the advertising business. * Work in a cloud-native environment, utilizing AWS managed solutions, and applying DevOps practices. * Continue to learn and grow your skillset as a software engineer. * Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortem. What You Need: * Professional experience writing Java and/or Python code. * Willingness to learn and work in all levels of the technology stack. * Understanding of data structures and problem solving skills. * Basic experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases. * Passion for learning. * Nice to have: experience working with a cloud environment such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. * Nice to have: experience with a big data platform such as MapReduce or Spark. * Nice to have: familiarity with third-party SDKs like Google Tag Manager, Google Ad Manager, or Facebook Marketing. The compensation range for this position is $98,000-$125,000 per year. The base pay will take into account internal equity as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
