About the Job
The Content Availability (CAT) team is looking for an Associate Software Quality Engineer to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference in the way Red Hat content is delivered to customers. You will gain a deep understanding of Content Delivery Network and related technologies and the way it’s used to deliver Red Hat products to customers. You will make sure our solutions fulfill the highest possible enterprise quality, performance, usability, and supportability criteria compared to competing offerings. As an Associate Software Quality Engineer, you will serve as the last instance before content is released to the public by participating in the development of automated tests. We'll need you to have the ability to think creatively and adapt to rapid change and the willingness to learn new things.
What You Will Do
You will work with a large portfolio of Red Hat products including Red Hat Enterprise Linux and will be responsible for verifying that correct artifacts such as software packages or images are delivered via the CDN
Conduct failure analysis, explore, identify and document new bugs, advocate for the resolution of bugs and communicate the impact on customers to developers and support.
Design, develop and maintain automated test cases, CI infrastructure and Python scripts
Evaluate relevant information from stakeholders and help with decisions on planning/triage meetings
What You Will Bring
Programming skills in Python
Knowledge of the Linux operating system (any distribution)
Testing experience working with globally distributed team members
Familiarity with DevOps testing methodologies and techniques
Motivated and dedicated to learning and collaboration
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
The following are considered a plus
Knowledge of CI/CD and Jenkins
Contributions to open source projects or publicly available code samples

The salary range for this position is $67,550.00 - $104,810.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
