Associate Software Technical Analyst

We are looking for an Associate Software Technical Analyst to join the Global Actuarial Business Support (GABS) team at MPBS. You will play a role in accelerating the technical evolution and support of our Actuaries around the world. The role needs strong analytical and solid collaborative skills to support the enhancement requirements, non-production and production processes and fixes of the application and have strong interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders and support teams across the globe.

Position Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Valuation System Transformation project team and other groups within the Actuarial Systems group as well as Actuaries within the company to uncover pain points and opportunities to accelerate the delivery of new business value through software, infrastructure, and servicesDeliver an exceptional user experience to Actuaries, through the delivery of services enabling  Self-service environment provisioning and configuration Continuous integration, testing, delivery, and deployment Logging, monitoring, and insight Collaboration, planning, and reporting Maintain and support these delivery services, with accountability for production reliability and usage, and the delivery of new functionality Support non-production and Production operations and fixesWork with support teams and vendors to implement fixes and changesPrimarily work in Asia, Mid or North America time, with flexibility to adjust to meet with the global team and support weekend deployments or production requirements.Amenable to work in UP Ayala Technohub (Quezon City)Amenable to work on a hybrid set-up (3x a week onsite)Amenable to work in any shift schedule assigned (preferably day or night; but flexible depending on business need)

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or any related courseAt least 1-2 years’ experience with the following:Scheduling Automation (e.g. CA, CTRL-M, CAWLA)Unix and Unix ScriptingRelational Database (SQL / Oracle / MSSQL) ETL (Informatica)Reporting (QlikView)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in operations management & vendor management, working with stakeholders and support teams across the globeExcellent analytical, problem solving, and solutioning skillsKnowledge and application of change & release management, ITIL4 & project managementFamiliarity with agile principles, test-driven development, continuous integration, and other approaches to accelerate the delivery of new featuresUnderstanding of software development lifecycleUnderstanding of how technology supports Manulife business strategyCollaborative attitude, willingness to work with team members; able to coach, share skills and methodsConstantly learns from both success and failureGood verbal and written communication; able to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomesGood organizational, multi-tasking and time management skillsStrong management drive to ensure you meet defined service targets and Service Level AgreementsAbility to maintain the highest level of ethical conduct in safeguarding sensitive, confidential, financial, HR company information
