Associate Specialist - Microbiology

Job Description

Our company are a leading manufacturing pharmaceutical firm dedicated to delivering high-quality products while adhering to the highest safety and regulatory standards. We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Quality Control Area Manager to join our team. This role is critical in maintaining our operations’ efficiency and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Area Management: Oversee operations to ensure efficiency and minimize downtimeTeam Development: Align team objectives with site goals and provide performance feedbackTraining: Train new staff and maintain up-to-date training documentationPerformance Management: Implement the performance management process and handle employee relations issuesQuality Assurance: Ensure GMP compliance in testing of water samples, intermediates, and finished productsEnvironmental Monitoring: Lead departmental meetings and address adverse trends through CAPA'sQMS Compliance: Ensure adherence to CAPA's, change controls, and deviationsTechnical Support: Enhance test methods and ensure robustness in proceduresDocumentation: Develop and maintain specifications and SOP's per GMP guidelinesBatch Release: Manage timely release of batches in line with commitmentsSafety Leadership: Promote safety and maintain proper documentation in the labAudit Support: Assist in inspections and implement corrective actions for any findingsContinuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for productivity enhancement and cost savings

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Quality Control, or related discipline)Significant experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within a regulated environmentStrong understanding of GMP, pharmacopoeial standards, and quality management systemsExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsProven ability to manage teams, drive performance and facilitate trainingProficiency in SAP or similar laboratory information management systems
