Candidate is responsible for the daily production support within the Cash & Corporate technology team. This role covers Infra/sysadmin support for multiple applications under Corporate applications, Analytics and Data.

Provide front line support to the business and other IT teams to ensure continued availability, effectiveness and accuracy of production systems

Escalate new incidents/failures to L3/Development teams in line with the defined escalation process and drive to closure within the SLAs

Provide eyes-on-glass real-time monitoring of the applications

Timely resolution of all incidents, escalation, and business communication.

Support scheduled weekend activities, participate in disaster recovery events and release testing events

Should be flexible to work in early APAC time zones

Should be flexible for upskilling and manage team members of different skill sets

Ensure problem/other tasks are appropriate, actionable, and assigned to the team responsible for the permanent fixes of recurring issues

Ensure priority incidents are being addressed in a timely manner to prevent them from becoming significant incidents

Ability to work with vendors and support staff on support tickets and follow up regularly till resolution is found

Develop and maintain excellent relationships and communication with global stakeholders, other IT teams, and business areas.

Should be able to lead the Major incident calls and take them to closure

Coordinate with upstream and downstream application teams proactively for any risks or potential issues. Alert the L3/development SMEs and Support management timely

Experience/ Skills

Minimum qualification:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent work experience

5-8 years of experience in leading large scale application support projects from Infra/sysadmin standpoint under banking domain

Required Skills

Must have Linux Red Hat administration experience.

Should be able to perform UNIX functions to troubleshoot issues related to tools on Unix OS

Microsoft Server Administration experience with in-depth troubleshooting expertise for system related issues due to resource contention or patches and other components

Understand SQL queries, analyze data related issues and identify root cause of issues / defects.

Knowledge of SQL, PL SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, advanced Performance tuning

Considerable experience working with enterprise monitoring tools like SCOM, Catchpoint, Pandora, Site scope, CA APM, Dynatrace etc.

Experience in installing  Oracle drivers/ scheduling tools ( like control-m) agents/ python and R s/w into Linux RHEL and Windows Servers with/without root access.

Edge / Chrome Browser knowledge, cookies, cache, SSO, certificates

Oracle Database administration  (Exadata knowledge helpful)

Good understanding of network tracing, virtual hardware and related solutions

Experience on Certification renewals

Experience on DR events.

Knowledge about Control-M tool

Knowledge about cloud technology Azure, AWS

Knowledge about Azure Dev ops tools.

Knowledge to SAAS connectivity E.g. VPN / SSO Auth

Experience with SSL and troubleshooting URL accessibility issues

Good understanding of load balancing and can fix firewall related issues through tracing

Work on scheduling tools and able to identify issues with dependent chain.

Able to work with vendors on support cases and follow up regularly till resolution is found.

Document system process flows and write test scripts for system testing

Ability to resolve issues/troubleshoot applications in a high-pressure & time critical environment.

Firm understanding of ITIL V3 framework with special focus on Service Operations

Good to have work experience with ITSM Service Now tool

Self-motivated to initiate actions and be responsible for consequent decisions.

Strong written/verbal communications skills.

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
