Job DescriptionTeam Summary
GAF is looking for a data-driven, intellectually curious analyst with proven experience in complex problem solving, driving actionable insights, and championing innovative thinking to join our Supply Chain team. With over 30 manufacturing sites, dozens of distribution facilities, hundreds of suppliers, and thousands of carriers, GAF’s supply chain continues to grow in size and complexity.

Job Summary
The Associate Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible and accountable for cost, service, and process execution analyses related to the planning, procurement, and movement of raw materials through our manufacturing sites as well as planning, warehousing, fulfillment, and distribution of finished goods through our distribution network to our customers. The Associate Supply Chain Analyst will deliver analysis, insights, reporting solutions / tools, data visualizations, and overall supply chain enhancements that drive service, cost savings, and business value across the entire supply chain. Additionally, the Associate Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for relative industry research, capturing insights or trends and developing solutions to drive action and assist in delivering desired results. The Supply Chain Analyst will also participate in the development and completion of the annual Supply Chain Plan, establishing key company goals that drive the operation forward.

The Associate Supply Chain Analyst will work collaboratively with key leaders across the Supply Chain organization and have the opportunity to lead major projects and strategic initiatives covering key areas such as transportation, warehousing, supply chain planning, demand forecasting, supply chain systems, procurement, and purchasing. The Supply Chain Analyst will also work cross-functionally with key members from Business Intelligence, IT, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, and other key functions.

Essential DutiesIdentify cost savings, productivity & process improvements, and other supply chain enhancement opportunities through applying technical, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Generate insights, develop solutions, drive action, and assist in delivering results.Lead / Participate and deliver assigned components of the Annual Plan as required for the Supply Chain organization. Analyze risks and opportunities related to the Plan, provide insights, recommendations, and communicate key updates, milestones, and changes.Develop and distribute critical Supply Chain standard reporting (all metrics related to cost, service, planning, execution, forecasting, and industry indexing). Utilize technical skills to improve and automate reporting as well as to identify and develop new metrics, reports / visualizations, and tools to drive action throughout the supply chain organization. Identify and communicate key trends and insights related to all standard reporting.Assist in managing spend and mitigating risk related to the planning and procurement of raw & indirect materials. Assist in maintaining and controlling spend related to planning, warehousing, distribution, transportation, and other key supply chain functions. Research and monitor industry trends that impact supply chain, collect relative information and insights, and communicate across the supply chain organization.Provide analytical support and identify improvement opportunities through ad-hoc analysis and reporting in all areas relating to transportation, warehousing, supply chain planning, demand forecasting, supply chain systems, procurement, and purchasing. Generate insights and recommendations, drive action, and assist in delivering results.Provide analytical support and suggested path forward in major Supply Chain projects, such as the opening/closing of manufacturing facilities or distribution locations, identifying new supply chain systems or technology, determining new raw material suppliers, identifying optimal location for new facilities, and overall support related to potential acquisitions.Perform other duties as assigned.
Under This Roof We RequireBachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Business, Finance, Logistics/Supply Chain, or Engineering Required3 or more years of related experience in a Logistics/Supply Chain or Business Analytics environment Required
