DUTIES: + Assist the teacher in providing instruction and supervision to high school students with disabilities in the Food Preparation CTE program. + Assist the teacher with implementing students' Individual Education Programs (IEP). + Work cooperatively with the Food Preparation teacher and support team. + Maintain student records, such as discipline and attendance. + Attend staff meetings, and professional development activities, as needed. + Consistently wear the appropriate uniform as required to maintain safety, hygiene, and professionalism in the learning environment. + Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-energy environment that may involve periods of elevated noise levels. + Other duties as determined by the building administrator. QUALIFICATIONS: + Current and valid NYS Teacher Assistant certification or willingness to complete the NYS Teaching Assistant certification process. + A minimum of two (2) years of experience in food preparation or related field preferred. + Experience working with Special Education students preferred. + ServSafe certification required or willingness to obtain. + Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation.)
