About the right team member

The Associate Technical Writer works with subject matter experts and cross functional teams to drive the development of content including implementation guides, training materials, and other technical documentation, ensuring consistency and standardization across all materials. This person must be fluent in English for reading, writing, and communication with our customers and internal stakeholders. 

This role will require being in a Technical Support role for the first 4-6 months of their position before transitioning into the Associate Technical writer position. 

About the roleCreate and update internal and external written content that aligns with the Mindbody brand voice and toneCreate original contentEnsure all written content is accurate and appropriately for the audience it is servingCoordinate Knowledge Base information and index content appropriatelyCoordinate and train other departments and partners regarding content and features in the Mindbody Support CenterPartner with internal stakeholders on documentation needs to ensure the internal team and Mindbody customers have self-serve tools available to meet their needsDevelop high-quality technical written content that can be shared with our customers, and internal teams in repeatable, reusable and predictable formatsCollaborate with the team on how we can continue to improve the self-service tools we provide our customers and team membersAll other duties as assignedSkills & experienceBachelor’s degree in relevant field or 2-4 years’ experience in related positionNative or Fluent in English, with experience writing materials for English Speakers 2-3 years of experience writing technical publications, standard operating procedures guides and manualsExcellent communication skills, including active listening, public speaking, writing, and editingExperience in quickly reading, understanding, and documenting software and operating processes • Knowledge of database and internet-based softwareDemonstrated knowledge in Word, Excel, and SalesforceSelf-learner and self-starter mentalityAbility to work in an extremely agile environmentAbility to manage time efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines
