Summary
The Associate Territory Manager (ATM) will be responsible for driving sales of assigned products within their territory through strong technical support to customers and development of key accounts. The ATM will also work closely with marketing communications to implement programs and promotions in the field designed to increase product awareness and usage. This position requires significant travel and interaction with internal departments such as Marketing, Technical Service, Product Management, and Sales Training as well as frequent contact with outside vendors and customers.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors and end users to maximize business opportunities and identify new markets and applications.
2. Provide technical advice and training to distributors and end users on the features and benefits of assigned products.
3. Assist in the identification and resolution of customer problems via telephone or on-site visits.
4. Promote the use of assigned products through presentations at local user group meetings and tradeshows.
5. Implement marketing communication plans including the coordination of trade shows, promotional events, webcasts, and webinars.
6. Generate leads for new business by identifying and cultivating key decision makers and influencers.
7. Manage all administrative tasks including expense reports, sales reports, competitive intelligence, and customer records using company computer systems.
8. Coordinate activities between sales representatives, distributors, and end users to ensure high levels of satisfaction among customers and effective operations of assigned products.
9. Work with Marketing Communications to develop print advertising and digital campaigns targeted towards specific customer groups.
10. Utilize pricing tools to provide quotes for customers and process orders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum three years relevant experience
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrated ability to independently plan and manage multiple projects
Travel required ~50%
Ability to commute to office daily
