Position: Associate Test Engineer Office / Station: Test General Function: An Associate Test Engineer uses knowledge in software development and basic testing methodologies to validate and conduct quality assurance activities on the deliverables produced by the Product Delivery Team. S/he creates test cases, sets up and configures his/her test environment, and executes test cases. Duties and Responsibilities: Follow the test plan and execute the test cases assigned to him/her Follow standard software testing processes to keep project defect records Help execute manual and automated test scripts Design and craft own test data needed for testing Create test cases, extend test case base in the test plan and setup test environment Works with the Scrum Team in all phases of the project to ensure a successful delivery Report status of software issues to Lead Test Engineer and verify fixes proactively Identify process deficiencies and effectively implement process improvements Perform related duties as assigned Working Relationships Directly reports to the Lead Test Engineer Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or other related courses Ability to work and adapt to different programming languages Having any of the following is an advantage: Knowledge and/or Working experience inSoftware QA processes and methodologies Any software development life cycle or Agile software development methodologies Scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Batch scripting Testing frameworks such as PyTest and Robot Framework Operating systems such as Windows, MacOS and Linux Virtualization technologies such as Docker, VMWare, VirtualBox and Google Cloud Virtual Machines Testing computer systems and/or applications Other skills: Integrity and commitment to quality Tenacious solution oriented approach and drive for results Possesses superior analytical and quantitative skills Rational with good professional judgment, able to deal well with ambiguity Passion for emerging technology and customer-focused innovation A good team player Excellent prioritization skills for multiple critical priorities and projects Quick learner, self-motivated and ready to take initiative Ability to work independently and organize time effectively Has a strong sense of urgency and conscious of efficiency Excellent command of both oral and written English communication Location:ThreatTrack Security Philippines Inc. | 5th Floor One World Square Bldg., Upper McKinley Road, Fort Bonifacio | Taguig City, Philippines 1634 Phone: (+632) 8452-3988 | Email: [email protected] | www.vipre.com
