Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Associate Traffic Engineer (Saudi National) to join our team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on Major Infrastructure Projects in KSA with an experienced Traffic Engineering Team.

What You'll Be Doing:

Conducts operational analysis using standard techniques and packages such as SYNCHRO, SIDRA, HCS, VISSIM.Knowledge of strategic transport modelling analysis using standard techniques and packages such as VISUM, EMME.Conducts traffic survey data collection and analysis.Support in development and analyze mitigation measures for transportation impact and transportation master plan studies.Supports the preparation and review of traffic study reports.Carries out travel demand modeling using packages including VISUM and EMME.Works closely with related teams by providing data and technical support as needed.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.Capacity analysis of roadways/intersections to identify improvements.Support Design Management Team.Review the traffic models for their accuracy and conformance with the project requirementsCollaborate with Civil / Infrastructure Engineers, Urban Planners and Landscape Architects.Attending design meetings to discuss the implications on traffic.Coordinating and cooperating with design engineers, safety specialists, and government departments.Comply with local, state, and federal regulations on traffic engineering.Support in preparation of traffic reportsSharing expertise in the best practices/tools of traffic engineering.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on small / medium/ large-scale transport planning / modelling projects.Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations in traffic modelling practices.Well aware of QA/QC procedures.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Report writing skills, preparation of presentations. Good written and oral communications skills in English.Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering from a recognized University.Minimum 0 to 1 years’ experience in traffic discipline.Familiarity with Traffic Impact Studies, Traffic Operational Analysis.Familiarity with traffic analysis tools such as SYNCHRO, HCS, and other traffic engineering – modeling software.Familiarity with international and local standards such as MOT / MOMRAH / RCRC / AMMANAH / RTGM / MUTCD / SHC guidelines and procedures for transport studies.
