Travel Counselors are the heart of our organization at Amex GBT, providing world class service to our corporate travel clients. If you have experience in call centers, contact centers, customer service, sales or hospitality, and have always wanted to work in travel, you may be perfect for our program.
We’ll give you a comprehensive course in all things travel and prepare you with everything you need to be successful as a Travel Counselor assisting our client through phone.
**What We’re Looking For:**
+ Highly proficient in computer skills including basic trouble shooting and confident in navigating new software platforms.
+ Experience in customer service, sales, call centers, or hospitality (3+ years) with extensive customer interaction.
+ Strong interpersonal communication, full proficiency in English language with exceptional listening, speaking, and problem-solving skills.
+ Passionate about world-class customer service (empathetic, calm, and courteous).
+ Attention to detail.
+ Understanding of math applications, including percentages and taxes.
+ Resolving customer issues quickly and raising concerns when needed.
+ Must have a quiet, secure home office space, free from noise and interruption. Must have reliable high speed internet service at your address.
**What You’ll Do:**
+ Participate in our Travel Academy (training) designed travel curriculum, where you’ll learn everything, you need to know about corporate travel and our industry.
+ Learn about our products and services GBT provides, including our end-to-end booking process.
+ Experience our hands-on practice environment.
+ Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers (both individuals and groups).
+ Educate customers on travel options including air, road, rail, and accommodations.
+ Ensure compliance to customers’ agreed travel policy, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements.
+ Use positive telephone service techniques and act on special customer requests.
+ Collaborate within your team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels.

Our Traveler Care unit is a 24/7 operation, please be flexible and prepared to work afternoon shifts (8:00 a.m. - 9:00p.m.) holidays and weekends.
