Job title: Associate UX Designer

Exciting opportunity to join the Emergency Care Design team as Associate UX Designer in Bangalore and work within a global team that designs and develops basic life support solutions (e.g. AED) and advanced life support solutions (e.g. patient monitor, defibrillator).

Your role:

You will have the opportunity to shape how our software and digital services will improve the care and wellbeing of millions of people across the globe.

You apply a systems thinking approach to design and deliver superior experiences and interactions that work at the micro and macro levels. Your experience of working in cross-functional teams, in combination with your knowledge of industry standards and heuristics, allows you to efficiently deliver qualitative and scalable solutions from software applications to digital devices.​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Analysis/research: You are focused on understanding people, business and societies, framing the problem with a strong focus on user needs and requirements.Creation/validation: You are creating user focused strategies, innovations, solutions and experiences and the user testing and validation of these, considering usability, sustainability and appropriate visual and verbal articulation in line with DLS and Brand guidelines.Process/delivery: You are executing on scope, driving own efficiency, delivering appropriate design quality within budget and project parameters.Stakeholder focus: You are focusing on the customer, collaborating, partnering and co-creating with internal and external stakeholders, with clear and impactful communication and articulation of design decision making.Team: You are contributing to effective teamwork, receiving guidance and being a pro-active team player, offering a point of view.


You're the right fit if:

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Design, Design Research or related discipline or equivalent professional Design training experience.You have min. 8 years of professional experience, preferably in the healthcare domain.You understand the context of design challenge and are empathetic to user and stakeholder needs and requirements.You generate proposals or solutions that meet the requirements, with appropriate visual and verbal articulation, applying relevant guidelines.You work with speed and within budget and time constraints set by the project and safeguard design quality.You work together with business stakeholders, using clear and concise communication.You contribute effectively as part of a team, receiving guidance from project or organizational lead.You have professional training and knowledge in UX/UI competence area, you can apply that in the context of a given assignment and continuously learns about latest trends and skills.You have good teamwork skills, and you clearly communicate and defend a point of view.You apply analysis skills to understand the problem, define an approach and apply diverging problem-solving skills.You apply innovative thinking from a User Experience perspective, you are pro-active, inquisitive and thinks out of the box.You have strong visualization, interaction, and prototyping skills (eg. Figma).You have good communication and presentation skills.You have the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals and stakeholders, from around the globe.You are excellent in verbal and written English.
