We are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to partner with our growing practice. This is a unique opportunity for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit to manage and grow an already successful practice and make it their own.  


We are a small animal hospital located in the beautiful town of Golden, British Columbia. Our focus is on preventative medicine and triage. We refer our surgeries and dentals to our sister clinic, Invermere Veterinary Hospital. As a Veterinarian at Golden Veterinary Services, you will have the opportunity to work in a busy clinic where you can develop strong relationships with your clients and their pets. You will have the autonomy to manage your own schedule and practice medicine the way you see fit.

Job Responsibilities

Build rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to and empathizing with their concerns. Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.  Communicates with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs. Maintains client/patient medical/surgical records and makes certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols. Stays current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine. Presents a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the public.

Skills and Basic Qualifications

A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university.  Licensure in good standing to practice in Canada. Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.
