Job Description Summary: The Associate Vice Chancellor for Nuclear Security will work closely with the Sr Associate Vice Chancellor for Nuclear Security Initiatives and be primarily responsible for the management of the National Laboratories Office (NLO) and the execution of NLO priorities. Responsibilities: - Assists in the execution of governance responsibilities for Triad LLC and PTXD LLC.- Assists in strategic planning for Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) engagement. Develops of short-term and long-term goals and objectives for the engagement with the NSE.- Manages of the National Laboratories Office including the execution of NLO priorities. Supervise staff and consultants working on strategic initiatives, providing direction, setting priorities, and ensuring successful outcomes. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the team.- Works with corporate partners, government agencies, and consultants to support the planning, development, and execution of strategic programs. Collaborates with Texas A&M faculty, researchers, and workforce development teams to integrate research and training initiatives into broader strategic goals.- Coordinates the execution of Texas A&M System programs in support of NNSA National Laboratories, Plants, and Sites including research grants, joint faculty/researcher appointments, graduate fellowships, undergraduate internships and delivery of academic degrees and continuing education.- Coordinate the execution of safety response and rescue training, small-business-support course development, and numerous outreach programs for the NNSA National Laboratories, Plants, and Sites.- Plans, organizes, and manages projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and goals are met. Oversees the development and execution of contracts, agreements, and project deliverables.- Prepares and delivers reports, proposals, and presentations to internal and external audiences. Represents the System's Nuclear Security Initiatives at meetings, conferences, and public events.- Identifies and addresses challenges and explores and recommends innovative solutions to enhance the success and impact of System's Nuclear Security Initiatives.- Performs tasks necessary to support the goals of the Sr. Associate VC for Nuclear Security Initiatives and the Texas A&M University System.- Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience:- Technical MS degree.- Ten years of experience in the Nuclear Security Enterprise.- Two years of experience working in an academic or national laboratory environment. Registration, Certifications, and Licenses: - Must be able to obtain a security clearance. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Extensive knowledge of the National Nuclear Security Administration National Laboratories, Plants, and Sites.- Understanding of the Texas A&M University System.- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
