**Job Description:**
**Department Overview**
The Wealth Strategy team supports TD's Global Wealth businesses. The team is responsible for providing strategic thought leadership and decision support to the Wealth Group Head and the Senior Operating Committee. Wealth Strategy focuses on strategic business planning, identifying and framing growth opportunities, including cross-business synergies, while better contextualizing the competitive landscape. The team is responsible for providing forward-thinking, fact-based analysis, implementation-ready strategies and tactics that enable and strengthen our competitive advantage. Through strong partnerships with key stakeholders across the Bank, Wealth Strategy acts as a growth enabler for Wealth driving profitability, identifying competitive advantage, and actualizing sustained performance. This is a highly visible role. The candidate will be collaborating directly with senior executives to evaluate short, medium, and long-term strategic priorities facing the wealth suite of businesses (U.S Wealth, TD Asset Management, Financial Planning/Private Wealth Management and Direct Investing).
Reporting to the Vice President Strategy & Business Enablement, the successful candidate will be accountable for pan-wealth business strategy development, supporting potential business ventures, and informing on-going projects through a deep understanding of competitive trends and practices to sustain and amplify the business 'competitive advantage. This is a leadership role, and the candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with senior leaders across TD Wealth and the Bank. In addition to core strategy functions, the candidate will be an ambassador of the pan-wealth strategy team and business enabler, leading confidently across a diverse set of priorities. The accountabilities of the role include, but are not limited to, providing strategic advice to the Wealth Operating Committee through thought leadership, effective analysis and articulation of the pan-wealth strategy, as well as delivering forward-thinking insights related to potential changes and disruption impacting TD Wealth's Global value proposition and competitive positioning, acting as a catalyst of change by facilitating appropriate discussions with the executive committee. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver the following:
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Inform business investments prioritization that will position the business for future growth
+ Lead the annual pan-wealth strategy planning process, while ensuring strategic alignment is achieved and delivered across multiple lines of business
+ Establish relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across the Bank taking into consideration competing priorities and organizational sensitivities
+ Deliver on Wealth Strategy initiatives supporting the Head of Wealth & Wealth Operating Committee, offsites, Board and other discussion forums
+ Facilitate development of Wealth strategy through relevant deep dives and insights
+ Leads sensitive agendas effectively with senior leaders across the enterprise, demonstrating superior judgement
+ Establish a culture of high performance and lead colleagues through formal/informal means
**Qualifications & Experience**
+ Post-graduate education (e.g., MBA) and / or business designation (CFA /CPS / CMA) is required
+ 7-10 years in a senior wealth management or corporate strategy role is desirable
+ Strong knowledge of the wealth management industry is an asset
+ Good understanding of a bank’s financial drivers and structure is an asset
+ Advanced knowledge of and ability to conduct industry/business research, industry/business analysis, forecasting, competitive intelligence
+ Very strong analytical and critical thinking skills
+ Proven people management skills, with a strong ability to effectively lead diverse teams by development training, coaching and ongoing performance management
+ Very strong presentation and facilitation skills and strong interpersonal and leadership skills to facilitate working with senior management at all levels
+ Strong purposeful project management skills; well organized, with a high diligence
+ Solid experience and proven record in working closely with senior management across lines of business within a wealth environment, along with conceptual and critical thinking
+ Ability to manage significant ambiguity and constantly changing circumstances in a challenging environment
+ Works exceptionally well in cross-functional teams and is a champion of collaboration
+ Can seamlessly engage colleagues, business partners, external stakeholders, and employees define shared /common goal
