Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$222,000 - $325,600

Job Title: Associate Vice President-Ethics and Compliance Advance Analytics and Internal Investigations (M4) 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

This position is the Associate Vice President, Ethics and Compliance supporting internal investigations, monitoring standards, data analytics, third party compliance and the ethics and compliance systems.   This critical role is responsible for development and review of ethics and compliance signals and working across the organization – to the business supporting parts of the ethics and compliance program as well as working with IT, Legal, Finance and HR to take the learnings/trends and make changes to the program to remediate and continuously improve the ethics and compliance program overall.  This position is responsible for building, maintaining, and improving the programs that support the process for reporting concerns, investigations, third party compliance, monitoring, and data analytics elements of an effective compliance program.  This position reports directly to the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer and sits on the CECO’s lead team to provide leadership for the ethic and compliance department.   

 

The Associate Vice President of Ethics and Compliance Advanced Analytics, Internal Investigations is responsible for the global program associated with several elements of the ethics and compliance program: 

Data analytics 

Responsible for building a team of professionals to own Lilly’s Global data analytics program to drive data-based decision making in the Ethics and Compliance programs. 

Responsible for developing new and innovative ways to use data to monitor compliance with policies.  

Responsible for new and innovative ways to use AI to reduce time consuming human monitoring replacing with real time monitoring to allow for faster correction and trend spotting.  

 

Investigations:   

Responsible for leading the investigations team as it relates to ethics and compliance issues in assessing concerns of misconduct, determining the type of investigation and who should perform them.  

Ensure that investigations are handled with the highest ethical standards while ensuring that the investigations address concerns.  

This role involves overall accountability for the Investigations element of the compliance program to the CECO.  

Third party compliance 

Responsible for leading a team for developing company standards related to Lilly’s anticorruption third party compliance program.  

Responsible for developing third party compliance standards and procedures for screening, mitigating, training, auditing, and monitoring Lilly’s third parties for ethics and compliance concerns.  

Monitoring 

Responsible for leading the team to building Lilly’s ethics and compliance monitoring program 

Responsible for monitoring external environment for trends related to Ethics and Compliance monitoring 

Develops the Lilly company global monitoring strategy and provides guidance to business supporting monitoring functions on best practices, corporate requirements, and standards. 

The leader of this organization will drive continuous improvement of the program, collaborating with ethics and compliance program members using learnings from investigations to influence policies, training, and other controls.   

Collaboration – This role requires extensive collaboration skills including coordinating with other risk functions for holistic analysis the program coordination with other ethics and compliance professionals to build controls and monitoring programs for the initiatives supported by those affiliates and coordinating with operational ethics and compliance professionals to ensure that controls are in line with company standards.

Drive application of effective corrective and preventive action plans responsive to monitoring and investigation findings. 

Deliver meaningful insight to affiliate leadership derived from monitoring and other activities. 

Provide input into development of corporate compliance policies and procedures that reflect the needs of the business supported.  

Leverage E&C data analytics and tools for insights to ensure timely and effective risk management. 

 

Basic Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s Degree 

10 years investigations or other relevant experience 

Experience with creation of data analytics programs 

Advanced degree or relevant experience preferred (e.g., J.D, C.P.A)
