Apply Today! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The El Paso Locomotive FC is actively seeking a highly qualified, multi-skilled Assistant Athletic Trainer to work as part of the high-performance department and who will coordinate and administer a comprehensive athletic training program for a USL Championship Division II Professional Soccer League Team. This position will also perform professional and administrative services essential for the successful implementation and development of the program. The position is based in El Paso, TX. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will: + Provide athletic training services for El Paso Locomotive FC, including attendance at scheduled team practices and home and away competitions as necessary; and + Assist Head Athletic Trainer administering all pre-practice/game athletic requirements including taping of players, therapeutic modalities, and medications; and + Assist and aid in therapy and treatment of all injured athletes as required by the Director of Sports Medicine; and Assist Head Athletic Trainer in administering of acute injury and first response post-injury. + Assist the Head Athletic Trainer in managing all record keeping and documentation utilizing the leagues and Club’s database, as well as meet all health insurance documentation required by the USL Championship and their affiliates; and + Aiding Head Athletic Trainer in scheduling with the appointed team physicians at appropriate times of the year; and REPORTS TO: El Paso Locomotive FC Head Athletic Trainer & HCA Central/West Texas Division Director of Medical Operations. POSITIONS SUPERVISED: None POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: + Demonstrated experience working with athletes, preferably in soccer with a passion for sports. Experience working for a professional sports or College athletics organization a plus + Strong understanding of the challenges athletes face, proper nutrition, sports injuries, and treatment options + Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively using a variety of media with diverse audiences + High ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion EDUCATION:(Required): Bachelor of Science degree program in athletic training accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training (CAATE). EXPERIENCE:(Required):Minimum 3 years of professional or college experience, preferably with experience in soccer KNOWLEDGE,SKILLSAND ABILITIES: + Proficiency in Microsoft applications, knowledge of current technologies and commitment to remain up to date with industry best practices + English and/or Spanish language proficiency is essential and Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus. Additional languages – even better LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: (Required): Current BLS and Certified by BOC, State Athletic Training Licensure.
