No Duties and Responsibilities + Directly supervise and evaluate 4 – 5 full-time professional Resident Director’s (RDs); indirectly supervises additional Residence Life Student Leaders and Student employees. + Manages daily operations of Learning Communities programming initiatives and Staff selection and training. + Develops programs, services and initiatives that meet the needs of Students living in the Residence Halls with specific focus on the learning community program, Residential Curriculum (programming) and Staff Selection and Training. + Forges strong collaborative relationships with an array of offices across campus to recommend policies, design programs, and support initiatives that enhance the residential experience and learning environment. + Assist with the implementation of large departmental operational processes including opening/closing, housing selection, room inspections, etc. + Serve in second-level 24/7 on-call rotation for all residential Students to manage emergencies and crises. + Oversee residential Student Leadership programs, including Residence Hall Association ( RHA ) and National Residence Hall Honorary ( NRHH ). + Performs related duties as required. Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Qualifications + Master’s Degree required with 4 – 6 years of residential experience. + Candidates with living-learning program experience and/or Faculty collaboration strongly preferred. + Candidates with a strong background in experience with advising student organizations, Staff selection, and training strongly preferred. + Strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills. + Supervisory or management experience strongly preferred. + Must have an understanding and appreciation for the Jesuit mission of Loyola University Chicago.
