Responsible for monitoring food production activities including use and preparation of approved recipes, cooking, portion, and yield control standards and safe and appropriate techniques of preparation. Ensures preparation and service of a nutritional and well-balanced meal for each mealtime according to federal and state nutritional guidelines.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Ensures preparation and service of a nutritional and well-balanced meal according to federal and state nutritional guidelines.
2. Ensures adequate stocking of essential food items and plans weekly menus.
3. Takes inventory, orders and receives food and supplies necessary for daily food production, and checks the quality and quantity of products received within established budget.
4. Cleans kitchen and equipment's regularly to ensure sanitary food preparation conditions.
6. Reviews and evaluates existing programs, services, policies and procedures.
7. Coordinates with upper management if and when required.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
