Assurance and SDP Manager (IDCIFM)

Secure Journeys has been selected to operate Australia’s Onshore Immigration Detention Network on behalf of the Australian Government.

 

Spotless, as a subcontractor to Secure Journeys, will be responsible for facilities maintenance and asset management of detention facilities and for providing catering and garrison services to detainees.

 

With the new contract commencing in early 2025, we currently have a full-time role available for an Assurance & SDP Manager to join the Spotless team.

 

The purpose of this function is to ensure the procurement and compliance of Service Delivery Partners (SDPs) and overseeing the Quality Audit team function. This position is responsible for implementing contract audit methodologies, setting audit targets that are aligned to the Quality Management Plan (QMP) and conducting audits that mitigate risks and enhance quality assurance.

What you’ll bring

Due to the nature of the work, you must be an Australian Citizen to be considered for this opportunity and willing to be sponsored for government security and employment clearances.A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business administration, finance, or auditing desirable.Certification in auditing (e.g., CIA, CISA, CPA) highly desirable.Extensive management level experience within the facilities industry.Proven experience in procurement, compliance, and audit management, preferably in a government contracting environment.Strong understanding of contract management principles, regulations, and industry standards.

The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:

Oversee the procurement process for SDPs ensuring their compliance with our contractual requirements, policies, and regulations.Develop and implement strategies to evaluate SDP performance and adherence to contractual obligations.Develop and refine contract audit methodologies to effectively assess SDP performance and compliance.Ensure consistency and rigor in audit processes, methodologies, and reporting formats.Responsible for assurance-related processes, systems and compliance requirements for the contract. Work with internal stakeholders and external specialists to optimise processes and system interactions to improve performance against business-driven targets.Ensure training for all staff members and SDPs (where relevant) is current as well as other engagement requirements.
