The ATC “core” Network Team owns and manages the entire ATC core network infrastructure, which is the backbone for most all of the ATC's services.

This position provides exposure to new, cutting-edge security products and technologies from some of the most respected manufactures in this space. That along with the ability to innovate in WWT's Advanced Technology Center (ATC) presents an environment to continually hone your skills.

 

What will you be doing?

 

The network engineer will provide first—and second-tier support for any ATC core network requests and will work with senior network engineers and architects on various projects and/or network-specific initiatives that drive innovation and network enhancements. The Network Engineer I manages the entire network stack that services the ATC.  They will also be working on multiple projects with other engineers and architects to grow service offerings in the ATC.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist where required to implement new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks. Respond to tickets and support Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy technologies, switches, route & switch requests, virtual routing. Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of network devices including the restoration of hardware and software. Knowledge of network technologies including BGP, OSPF, EVPN, & VXLAN. Review and understand network engineering design, assist in development of documentation, and contributes to the deployment the ATC network infrastructure. Assist Network Architects and Security to mitigate potential attacks through network connections and to ensure the overall security of the ATC network. Assist with network afterhours maintenance where required. Assist in the hardware lifecycle management process when and where required. Monitor alerts and notifications regarding network issues that impact the network or customers. Collaborate with various teams through troubleshooting and mentoring opportunities. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure networking, Azure, GCP, AWS. Knowledge of Linux internals, TCP/IP, DNS, Load balancing technologies Respond to Network related tickets in service now.
