ALSTOM Hong Kong Limited has been a major supplier of trains, signaling systems, infrastructure and services (maintenance, renovation and parts supply) to MTR Corporation over the last 40 years. Since the first metro project in Hong Kong in 1975, ALSTOM Hong Kong Limited has supplied over 1,100 metro cars for its metro network and equipped seven lines with signaling systems currently in operation, contributing positively to the urban transport system development in Hong Kong.

 

We are looking for ATC Subsystem Test & Commissioning Leader based in Hong Kong to join our dynamic team. We deliver multiple signaling projects to our customer MTR with dedication to sustainable and smart mobility in the field of design, engineering, installation and test & commissioning. You will be responsible for:

The subsystem T&C manager is responsible, by delegation of the PrCOM, of the test, verification and delivery of a signaling subsystem. Organize T&C activities (Planning, Access, Resources allocation, documentation). Check compliance of Signaling systems in relation to system specification documents and contractual requirements. Independently, apply extensive expertise as a generalist or specialist to meet company standards and customer requirements for the related sub-system Develop T&C procedures for his sub-system based on defined specifications for subsystems in area of specialization to meet contractual requirements. Interface with Engineering and V&V subsystem leaders for optimizing site tests and sharing competent resources between platform and site test Could participate to V&V test in lab, as per request, under the responsibility of the V&V Manager Provide technical leadership to individuals or teams for tools, procedure and in resolving problems Lead or participate in technical discussions for his subsystem directly with customer and represents / protects the company’s interest Report on a regular basis to the Project T&C Manager on progress and issues Report on the anomalies arising during site testing and interfaces with engineering team towards to close the anomaly Ensure that all design related issues are correctly reported in the adequate tools, including the defect description and associated test context Proactive towards development of resources competency to other T&C team members Guarantee that all tests are made in full safety.

 

You are expected to have these credentials:

Honour degree in engineering (preferably electrical, electronics or embedded systems) 7+ years of experience in railway signaling industry for commissioning work Available to work at night, during weekends and on public holidays if required  with team spirit, multi-tasking and open-minded Able to take an analytical approach for problem solving under time pressure Able to communicate in an open and clear manner with various stakeholders Good level of communication skills in written and spoken Chinese and English Experience in Cyber Security and/or Networking is preferred Driving license is preferred

 

*Job title, either Engineer or Assistant Engineer, would be determined subject to the candidate's experience.
