Role description:
As part of a growing and agile business, our Environmental Planning team is looking for a Social Value Lead with a broad range of socio-economic, planning, and environmental experience to drive and support a Social Value culture across Arcadis, working with the Resilience Lead for Social Value to deliver our strategy and approach. You will work with clients to deliver, monitor and report on our social value commitments, helping to drive sustainable change and positive outcomes for communities across the UK via client projects and programs.

With your specialism in environmental management, or your technical or sustainability expertise, your work could involve protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality or noise. And in some of the world’s busiest and most beautiful locations.

The rate at which we’re seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. Role accountabilities:
Work with clients, local communities and our project teams to explore aspirations and opportunities to tackle local economic, social and environmental issues. Monitor and report on delivery performance of social value across our projects Support in embedding Social Value into our project teams as well into the processes and procedures of our clients Help drive Arcadis’ internal social value strategy demonstrating our market leading bespoke service. Develop and secure opportunities with existing and new clients as well as developing exceptional responses to bid opportunities and wider collateral. Develop internal relationships with the Arcadis Mobility and Places teams, liaising with Key Account Managers and sector leads.Qualifications & Experience:
Ability and experience of leading on Social Value with demonstrable results. Experience of monitoring, measuring and reporting on Social Value metrics. Previous work experience in a relevant industry Excellent communication skills, including the ability to liaise with peers / senior colleagues and build and maintain relationships. Excellent commercial awareness and organisational understanding Excellent planning and organisational skills Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently Excellent proficiency in using relevant software and systems.
