Summary: The Athletic First Responder is responsible for providing athletic first aid for the prevention and care of athletic injuries. This position will perform outreach duties for the sports medicine program to assigned schools. The athletic first responder will provide immediate first aid and intervention, prevention of injuries, and reporting of all athletic injuries. The athletic first responder will work under the supervision of a licensed athletic trainer employed by Pardee/UNC Health. Required • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Must be certified in both CPR and the use of an AED. Certifications must be from NCOEMS, AHA, or American Red Cross.
