FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Position Summary

This Athletic Trainer is an exciting opportunity at MultiCare, responsible for providing athletic training services to athletes and active individuals. As you assist in the development of strength and conditioning programs for athletes and active individuals, provide education in sports medicine and engage in marketing strategy deployment, you will be able to engage in a dynamic range of work functions every day while supporting athletic development within the community.

Responsibilities

You will provide athletic training outreach services for community school athletes at their respective locations, including practices and gamesYou will provide development and implementation of on-site athletic training services in community schools and area eventsYou will provide documentation of athlete care provided, including daily records, progress notes, and other correspondence necessary for athletic training managementYou will report on athlete progress through written progress notes and oral reports to nurses, physicians and other appropriate members of the health care teamYou will work under the supervision of a Team physician/athlete’s physician in community outreach servicesYou will educate athletes, parents, coaches and administrators on injury management and prevention

Requirements

Certified Athletic Trainer by National Athletic Trainers AssociationCurrent BLS CertificationMinimum three (3) years of experience in sports medicine, including community outreach and clinic outpatient servicesExperience in marketing and new program development in community outreach at secondary school level and sports medicine services

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $23.44 - $33.72 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
